No Tricks, Just Treats: FEG Helps Bring HalloWeekends to Life at Cedar Point

When guests step into Cedar Point during HalloWeekends, they’re surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of Halloween. Haunted mazes glow in the dark, fog rolls across the midways, and the scent of kettle corn and caramel apples lingers in the air. It’s a full-park transformation, and Family Entertainment Group ensures the arcades feel just as connected to the celebration.

FEG proudly operates two arcades at Cedar Point. The Coliseum Arcade is located in one of the park’s most historic buildings and houses over 200 games across 45,000 square feet, including a nine-hole Boardwalk-themed indoor Mini Golf Course and a wide variety of games. Just down the midway, the Funway Arcade adds another layer of excitement with E-Z Win Cranes from Unis and a 728-square-foot Mirror Maze.

During HalloWeekends, the park is filled with roaming monsters and unexpected jump scares. Designated Scare Free Zones are scattered throughout, giving families a chance to take a breather from the haunted fun. FEG arcades match this theme, embracing the same promise. Guests now see bright, playful “No Tricks, Just Treats” signs at the arcade entrances, letting them know that it’s a space to play games and take a break from the scares outside. Even our digital pricing boards got a seasonal refresh, featuring festive graphics that match the park’s Halloween look.

For guests, the seasonal theming added to the arcades helps to keep them immersed in the festive atmosphere. To get a break from scares, they can step inside of the arcade entrance but still be participating in HalloWeekends. For Cedar Point, it means every corner of the park, even those not directly managed by them, takes part in the festivities. FEG sees this as another chance to create a great experience for guests and partners alike.

As Scott Brown, VP of Marketing at FEG, explains:

“When our partners lean into seasonal storytelling, we lean in right alongside them. Our job is to make sure every guest touchpoint feels connected to the larger experience. That’s what turns good partnerships into great ones.”

The arcades now feel like a natural part of HalloWeekends. They are welcoming, family friendly, and just as thoughtfully themed as the rest of the park. Guests can jump from haunted mazes to prize counters without breaking the Halloween mood.

For FEG, it’s not only about running arcades, but about making sure they contribute to the story the park is telling. These seasonal adjustments are a small example of how FEG approaches its work: using creativity and expertise to support partners while keeping the guest experience front and center. By aligning with the park’s storytelling, even the arcades, spaces that might otherwise stand apart, become part of the larger seasonal narrative. It reflects FEG’s ongoing commitment to collaboration and delivering experiences that feel cohesive and memorable.
